This is a show about a sexually & politically liberated, brilliant, independently wealthy, super sassy self-styled "lady detective" in 1920's Melbourne who solves mysteries. She has a sweet townhouse in downtown Melb, a butler, a PA and two girl wards who she's influencing to be as equally sassy and smart as she is, and awesome cars and fashions.
It's on Netflix and Essie Davis plays the title character. Typically, the majority of people on screen are female and the main male characters that appear in every episode are only there for her sexual gratification. Oh yeah, she's also pro-choice, pro-gay rights and pro-Communist. Idk, if that doesn't make you want to watch it, I don't really know what else to say to you.
